Classes of Membership
There are four categories of Distripress membership as outlined in the latest version of the association's statutes as approved on March 21st 2011.
1. Regular Members
Distribution and Retailing - This category contains all members who are active in the fields of exporting, importing, wholesaling and retailing of press products. This category also includes those companies engaged in local digital printing /distribution and those companies involved in media transportation.
Publishing - This category contains all members who are primarily concerned with the creation of media content. This includes newspapers, magazines, periodicals, journals and paperback books.
Ancillary Service Providers - This category contains those members providing services to the other categories. This can include software and hardware vendors as well as consultants and media academics
2. Individual Members
This category is open to individuals and sole traders who wish to interact with Distripress and who agree with the aims and objectives of the association.
3. Affiliate membership
This category contains International and National non-profit trade associations as invited to join by the Executive Committee.
4. Honorary membership
Honorary membership is bestowed by the Executive Committee and reflects those members that have rendered outstanding service to the association.
